Two hours ago, I spoke to a beauty clinic owner in Berlin. They’re using Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube to bring in customers. But when I asked about email marketing?
“We have our clients’ email addresses, but we don’t want to bother them,” she said.
Really? Here’s the deal:
You can’t worry about “bothering” people. They opted in. They want to hear from you!
Email isn’t just talking AT them. It’s providing value and making lives better.
They’re missing out on up-sells and getting existing customers to buy more.
Essentially, this clinic is happy to shout their services on social media but hesitant to whisper them through email.
This mindset is common, but it’s holding them back.
Our chat was rushed. She was looking for a part-time employee to handle content marketing, not a freelancer (bummer for me). I didn’t get to dig deeper due to how quick the convo was.
In the end, it was like a quickie with no climax.
So, are you bothering your subscribers or building a relationship they love?
