the shirtless secret to influence people in under 3 minutes ○ homo happy 11

naii.io

so you can go from caveman to → rockstar

(without being cringe)
(without being a leader)
(and without being an asshole)

and here are the steps to follow [1] if you want make an impact in the world:

0 - accept: first they ignore you

1 - be public

express yourself in public like nobody is watching

(so they can laugh at you)

1 - express yourself like nobody is watching.gif

2 - be easy to follow

(so they can also battle you)

this is fundamental because you will truly matter only if you have a stance to stand by and defend against those who disagree (verbally, not physically, of course)

3 - embrace your first follower as an equal

for me that would be my first pre-order buyer of Summer Smile ☀️ from Italy 🇮🇹

2 - embrace your first follower as an equal.gif

4 - instruct your first follower

5 - step back as the leader

its about the movement, not you

6 - allow first follower to take over

7 - first follower invites second follower

8 - now its a group and you have groupies

3 - now its a group and you have groupies.gif

9 - groupies create buzz and buzz is news

dont stand in the way of letting it unfold like a wave

10 - spread the news

everyone needs to see the group of followers because new followers emulate followers that grow the group

11 - turn momentum into movement

more people come and join, now you have momentum—the tipping point—and a movement!

12 - (then you win)

"As more people jump in, it’s no longer risky. If they were on the fence before, there’s no reason not to join now. They won’t be ridiculed, they won’t stand out, and they will be part of the in-crowd, if they hurry. [And] you’ll see the rest who prefer to be part of the crowd, because eventually they’d be ridiculed for not joining." [1]

4 - (then you win).gif

13 - repeat what you were doing in the beginning

you initially did something that got you a first follower

keep doing what you were doing in the beginning

because that is the core of what was working

only this time creating momentum will be much easier because you already have a following from your first goofy moment of absolute ridicule

TL;DR

there is no movement without the first follower

and the steps above are really easy to follow

because like everything in life

its about nailing the basics

like...

how do you make your girlfriend happy?

* you pay attention to her
* you watch her deeds
* you read her words
* you monitor her signals
* you hear what she isnt saying out loud
* and you surprise her (women love to be surprised!)

so if you want to have your favorite person in the world on your side, make sure to cover the basics and go from there

oh, one last thing before you go...
today i was in a blue mood
actually gray to be frank
(just like the weather outside)

because i ate spoiled sea food
which made me crank
(and i didnt feel bright)

so i took a ride
to stand there with pride
in front of the public eye
pants down, muscles tight but nobody paid attention
(until they saw whats inside)
(too BIG they cant ignore it)

¡Ándale, arriba!

and combined with a quote that i formerly, wrongfully-attributed to mahatma gandhi but was in fact nicholas klein, socialist unionist, speaking to his union, the amalgamated clothing workers of america, at their biennial convention at baltimore in may of 1918:

"And my friends. In this story you have a history of the entire movement: First they ignore you, then they ridicule you and then they attack you and want to burn you and then they want to build monuments to you."
