she called me cheap ○ homo happy 3

My dad always said "it's all about money."

I hated that.

Sounded greedy and shallow.

My mom was jealous of my rich aunt.

When I asked what she'd do with more money, she said "spend it."

Make money to spend money?

That seemed pointless.

So I avoided money completely.

For years I lived paycheck to paycheck.

Anytime I made good money I'd spend it fast.

Getting rid of it felt like relief.

Then I met her in November 2023.

She wanted a guy who could provide.

At first I thought "gold digger."

But she wasn't greedy.

She just wanted security.

After 18 months with her, something clicked:

Money needs direction.

You decide what your money does.

Build a house.

Help people.

Fund your dreams.

Money isn't evil.

But the person holding it might be.

Here's what I learned:

Money doesn't change you.

It shows who you really are.

Kind when broke? You'll be kinder when rich.
Mean when broke? You'll be meaner when rich.

I'm way happier now that I have money.

More relaxed.

More generous.

I smile so much at work my colleagues ask what's wrong with me.

Last week they suggested I get tested.

Apparently "happy" isn't normal anymore.

Speaking of smiles...

I realized something weird.

Having money made me funnier.

Less stressed means more jokes.

So I created Summer Smile.

90 days of daily jokes starting June 21st.

Because stressed people do dumb things.

Happy people make better choices.

Turns out money revealed I'm pretty hilarious.
