when i went online for the first time
(thats 27 years ago)
it was the web1
and this week i felt like 15 again
when i had my first week in a web3 tech company
which is maybe why i also re-watched the osbournes from the 2000s
walking down memory lane
thinking about my teenage years
and truly enjoying it
and thinking that age is almost completely irrelevant
and that life happens in cycles
you go through the same motions and emotions every 10 years or so
but at the end of each cycle you transformed
and became a new person
(maybe)
so has the web transformed when it became web3?
kinda
its the excitement of the web1 when talking to strangers was fun
and the punk-ish remix culture of web2
when the internet was cringe and dirty
and then it became corporate and centralized
so lets take back a piece of our web land and own it again
you can start by owning your identity
because thats what billions is doing
with the first universal human and ai network of trust
and im part of the billions team
where we are scaling the internet of value to one billion users and beyond
(hence the name)
so when you need to id yourself you can do so without revealing your personal data
which makes transferring money and assets quicker
and your digital life becomes a walk in the park

oh, one last thing before you go...
once in new zealand i hugged a tree
it felt really good when i did
but when i let go and left
the tree sued me for sexual assault
he said it was non-consensual
and thats why i became a stay-home gen-z
