how i use sadness as a vehicle for creativity 🥊 PLD 49

naii.io

whenever i want to force the creative process

i get sad (almost) with the press of a button

acting skills come in handy

because this means...

i can laugh on demand

and i can cry on demand (or semi-demand)

(though i find crying on demand harder than laughing on demand)

(because its a more vulnerable activity)

but before i tell you one of my processes to evoke creativity through sadness

you need to understand the two "emotional acting" schools of thought

school 1 says: emotion first → body second
school 2 says: body first → emotion second

you feel the emotion first (typically by using past moments of sadness) and when needed you tap into them so you can act out naturally (school 1)

or you do the bodily movements that occur when you feel an emotion and then the emotions will come (school 2)

let me give you one example...

ive been crying today

not because i was sad

but because of my pollen allergy

that regularly haunts me in spring and summer time

and this is extremely practical from a creativity point of view

because now i can apply acting school 2:

body first → emotion second

i already have the tears in my eyes

im already crying

now i add the sad emotions to it

and theres your recipe for a perfectly en-acted sad moment

and now you learned something you didnt want to know

fair enough

but heres how i use this sadness as a vehicle for creativity

.
.

sadness = the world is going to end

sadness = live is going to end

sadness = we are dying now

sadness = what is dying now will be reborn again

its the typical creative process that i call the "burning man" cycle because

at the burning man festival

you build up a village in the desert

for a week or so

and then burn it down again

  1. creation (birth)
  2. enjoyment (life)
  3. destruction (death)
  4. rebirth (afterlife?)

its a simple psychological trick that im applying

because think about it...

did you ever lose a person you liked or loved a lot?

how did that make you feel?

exactly thats the emotion im tapping into

you cherish the most what you just lost

in other words:

you only realize the value of something when its gone

thats how i use sadness as a vehicle for creativity

and sometimes i do "tricks" like listening to semi-vocal-free music

like tycho’s album "dive" [1]

Dive_tycho_album.jpg

or musicForProgramming(); [2]

oh, one last thing before you go...

jerking off while watching porn is pretty boring
i think we can agree on that
but what if you just came
and the woman next to you
you dont wanna see anymore
(after the act)
not because she bj-ed you badly
no, she was actually doing great
and she is looking gorgeous
her tits are awesome
and her butt as juicy as an apple
but you did what you came for
and she got what she wanted
a nice milky experience
can you just say bye for good?
i believe women can do easily
but man can only do hardly
