Why read something when you don’t get something out of it, right? A haha, an aha, a new perspective. That’s what my first 30-day focus experiment is about in which I follow one course until successful.
The course: Within 30 days, I read George Mack’s essay 'High Agency In 30 Minutes' highagency.com, I understand the big idea, and sell it via LinkedIn, Substack, and X so that more people learn about it and George accepts my invitation to have a 10-minute call where I ask follow-up questions about his essay and he answers in the most truthful way.
The experiment is a success when George and I had the call. I’m doing this experiment to kick off my service of helping essayists, book authors, and long-form content creators sell their big idea via organic media.
I believe I can achieve this objective because I’m acting from a point of intending to be relentlessly helpful and building long-lasting relationships. Building long-lasting professional relationships has been something I’ve been struggling with and I want to get better at it.
For this experiment, I’m applying the SMART objective-setting method: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound.
I’m also applying a success projection of a future outcome, which is why I wrote the title of this post in the way I did: How I got on a call with George Mack, author of 'High Agency In 30 Minutes'
